Since moving in to my apartment, I have never been a fan of the old farm house style, flowery wallpaper wallboard. Anyone agree it's a little outdated? Not only was it outdated (in my opinion) - it was also begining to look dingy and possibly a little moldy...not a pretty sight. (Although I will note that Paula did not have a problem with it at all.)
Thursday night, from about 7:30PM to 11:00PM, mom and I set out to rectify the situation. After months of debating colors and paints styles (and trying to make time!) -- I believe we succeeded with this new, fresh look.
The issue we had with determining a color was that we wanted it to match the red accessories that I have in my kitchen, and the blue/gray speckle countertop that exists. What do you think?
I'm reminded again that moms are absolutely wonderful! For many other reasons than being willing to spend hours painting a kitchen after spending all day at a hospital, and then driving 45 miles home in a blizzard - but that's what stands out right now. Thanks mom!
