Every year, our church hosts a Mother's Day Tea. This year, they made a slide-show of pictures...and these are the ones I choose to share of my mom.
This is a picture of "just us girls" at the ocean when we went on vacation to Prince Edward Island...
...this is also us in Prince Edward Island, swinging at Avonlea Village.
Here we are at Grandma's 70th Birthday party.
Finally, mom and Nathan - while we were waiting at the portrait studio for family pictures.

After attending a Mother's Day Tea, I surprised mom by bringing her to the salon for manicures and pedicures. Yes, I, Ashley-who-hates-her-feet-touched, got a pedicure! Mom found it incredibly amusing, I'm asuming because of the facial expressions I was no doubt making.
These are mom's toes...
and these are mine.
Dad's 55th Birthday
In the spirit of summer we celebrated dad's birthday with a barbeque and a movie. Yes, it was a chick flick (Leap Year), but raising five daughters he's gotten quite used to those.

Sharing Jesus
I don't usually share my youth events on our family blog, but I'm going to make an exception with this event. Our church students had an opportunity to perform a gospel skit at their public school, and they did a marvelous job. There were those who were hesitant because we considered people's reactions - but God had an amazing plan and we were obedient to walk through the door He opened. Not only have the students had numerous opportunitites to share their faith with their peers follwing the skit, there have been families visiting our church because of what they saw that night at school!
Candy's Home
Classes are out for the summer...so let the fun activities begin!
Candy had an idea - take Jett for a walk! So, we bought a harness and decided to give it a try. He really wasn't a fan of being outside and kept trying to escape to the indoors.
Candy got Jett to calm down as long as she was holding him (he is a fan of attention!), and Nathan enjoyed getting to play with him at his house.
Prom
Sara, a senior this year, went to her school prom. Annette helped get her all dazzled up and ready to go.
She went with her best friend, Kimmy.
Mom drove them in the Mustang, but they did end up putting the top up so they didn't mess up their hair!
Paula's Birthday
The home that Paula is living in decided to host a birthday party for her, and invited all of her family to attend. About 12 of us made the drive down and celebrated her 44th birthday.
The staff at the house bought her a cute new purse. I admit, I was a little jealous.
She also received a Bible, a book, pants, and a lot of Pepsi!
While there, mom and Candy decided to show off their sunburn tans (mom wins hands down!). I took the picture because their shirts matched in color, and they both looked cute with their sunglasses on their heads!
