We gathered together for our Christmas Eve and Nathan and Chris made sure we had enough wood for the fireplace. What good helpers!
We played games for what seemed like forever...Buzz Word is a favorite for all of us. And Yahtzee. And Uno. And Phase 10. Nathan wanted to be included, so Aunt Kim gave him the Buzz Word number cards - his favorite thing to do was line them up in order over and over again.
Nathan was very excited about opening presents, so he ran out to the tree. After half opening one of my presents, Meme directed him to only open presents that had an "N" written on them.
"For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited me in; naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me...to the extent that you did it to one of these...of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to me." Matthew 25:35-36, 40
One of my Christmas treasures is the importance that our family puts on helping some of the "least of these." This year, an abundance was given.
A goat (World Vision). Seeds for two families (World Vision). Education for three children (World Vision). Five ducks (World Vision). The Education Gift Fund (Danita's Children). Hope for Sexually Exploited Girls (World Vision). Seminary & University Scholarship (Invisible Children). Medicines & Medical Supplies (World Vision).
