Congratulations, Sara!

So...exciting celebration in the Casey family this year! Sara, the youngest of us all, has graduated high school. There are no words to express how proud we are, or how excited we are to see all that God has for her future.

Before graduation, we all gathered for some family photos (which Ashley shared in the previous post). Isn't she lovely?

The ceremony invoked a perfect combination of tears, smiles, and cheers.

Yet another photo shoot occurred following the ceremony...

And because I love this picture...here it is. Sara and her Grandpa.

We closed the evening with ice-cream sundaes and all sorts of memories...including the embarrassing ones. What more could you ask for?!

Sara's college career will begin at Word of Life Bible Institute, in Pottersville, New York, where both Ashley and I spent our first year of higher education. We are so glad that she too is taking this opportunity to spend a year focused on studying the foundation of scripture, and can think of no greater way to begin this new chapter of her life. After one year, she intends to transfer to Calvin College, located in Michigan, where she will study English. I have promised to visit...in the non-winter months. While pursuing her degree, she hopes to study/work in Japan--and check off one of her life goals.

For some of my (Kimberly) own personal thoughts on this occasion, you can take a look at my blog.

Also, we put together a short slideshow for Sara's graduation party. I intended to embed it here, but alas my technical skills are not so grand. Please excuse the technical quality, as it was done rather quickly. That said, it is a fun way to see some pictures of Sara from the past several years. We've also included some photos from her graduation. To watch, click here.
